Overview
The best panoramic views in the Everest region.
While Everest Base Camp gets the crowds, Gokyo offers what many consider to be superior views. The hike up Gokyo Ri places you directly opposite Everest, giving an unobstructed view of the mountain and its neighbors.
The Gokyo Lakes are the world's highest freshwater lake system, comprising six main lakes. Their brilliant turquoise color against the stark mountain backdrop is unforgettable.
