Overview
A spiritual retreat into a sacred Himalayan valley.
The Tsum Valley was restricted until 2008, which helped preserve its ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture. It is known as the 'Hidden Valley of Happiness'.
Trekkers will walk past mani walls, chortens, and the historic Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa. The trail offers a peaceful, culturally immersive experience unlike standard routes.
Typical Itinerary
Usually takes around 14 days, often combined with the Manaslu Circuit.
The trek begins by following the Budhi Gandaki river, similar to the Manaslu Circuit, before diverging east into the Tsum Valley.
Highlights include acclimatizing at Nile, visiting Mu Gompa at 3,700 meters, and returning through the lower villages.
